How your file is handled
Structure-only mode is the default. DictionaryLeap reads the CSV, Excel workbook, or SQL script in your browser. The server receives column names, inferred types, and aggregate stats: null percent, distinct count, length, and pattern shapes such as email or 999-99-9999. It does not receive the original file.
Sending a few sample values is an opt-in toggle. Samples are limited to three values per column and redacted before they leave the browser. Leave the toggle off if you do not want values sent.
Names, comments, and samples are treated strictly as data. Instruction-shaped text is stripped before a draft is written. The model, when one is configured, has no tools and is told not to follow anything inside the file.
Profiles and generated packs are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Do not use DictionaryLeap as a system of record. Download what you need before the link expires.
DictionaryLeap does not train models on uploads. If an AI provider key is configured, only the profile you approved is sent to that provider, under that provider's API terms. If no key is configured, the draft is produced by the built-in rules engine and nothing is sent to a model.
Sensitivity and PII tags are potential, not legal advice, and not a determination under any regulation. A person who owns the data still has to review the pack.
